Abstract:
Over the past 5 years the federal government has released updates to laws, policies, guidelines, directives and/or procedures which provide the foundation to enable programs to transition from traditional program management to a more agile implementation. This presentation will take a close look at the evolution of the laws, policies and procedures and their application to federal programs. From a former Defense Acquisition University Professors perspective, we will look at how these policies are implemented to determine the root cause, policy or implementation, of the perceived lack of agility in the federal government and how you can leverage these updates on your program to improve performance outcomes.
Learning Outcomes:
  • Knowledge of recent (5-years) laws, policies and procedures enabling agile development
  • Understanding of how these laws are starting to influence programs in the federal government
  • Be able to leverage these changes to increase agility in your program
